Irene Elaine Provo Littler

Irene Elaine Provo Littler went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2024 at Villaspring in Erlanger, KY surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie Estella Carter (Provo/Kruschwitz) and Wilbur Winfield Provo; her step-father, O.C. Kruschwitz; her sister, Sandy Hamilton; and her step-son, Kenneth Ray Littler. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Peter N. Littler; children, Lisa M. Lowrey (Nathan Moser), and Alan Lowrey (Michelle); her sister, Pam Dunagan (Clint); her step-children, Linda I. Endsley, Yancy E. Littler (Kori), and Ronnie B. Littler (Sabrina); her step-daughter-in-law, Beth Littler; and her brother-in-law, John Hamilton.

Elaine also leaves behind her 14 grandchildren.

Born in Asheville, NC June 30, 1943. She graduated from Burges High School in El Paso, TX., attended Georgetown College, graduated from Western Kentucky University with her B.A., and then received her Masters Degree from Arizona State University and her Rank One from the University of Louisville. She taught for 32 years in grades five through eight in Arizona and Kentucky, but enjoyed teaching middle school students the most. Elaine was very much loved by all of her students and parents. She co-taught eleventh grade Sunday School Classes at Erlanger Baptist Church, where she was a long-time member. Elaine was an economic Education Advocate through the Kentucky Council of Economic Education, a Title IX program writer in AZ, Northern Kentucky Education Coordinator for Tall Stacks, taught GED classes, helped develop the stock market game for Middle Schoolers and was Economic Education Coordinator teaching fifth graders about finance through a CITI Bank program.

Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 10:00AM-12:00PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, KY. She will be laid to rest next to her father and mother in Mars Hill Cemetery, Mars Hill, NC.
