Howard Schmidt

Howard Schmidt, age 93, died Thursday August 16th at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood. Howard was a retired Purchasing Agent for Aurora Casket Company and a proud U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He lived in Florence and was a member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church. Survivors include his wife Virginia of Florence; 2 sons Don and Gary; a daughter Diane; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Schmidt. Visitation will be Monday 10am- 12 noon at Mary Queen of Heaven Church. Mass will follow immediately. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Aurora, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at 297 Buttermilk Pike Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017. Linnemann Funeral Homes, Burlington is assisting the family.
