Horace Pumphrey, Jr.

ERLANGER – Horace C. Pumphrey Jr., 86, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, at Brighton Gardens of Edgewood.

He was a plant engineer, a World War II Marine veteran, Dixie Knothole coach and he enjoyed boating.

His wife, Catherine Pumphrey, died in 2008.

Survivors include his sons, Daniel Pumphrey of Edgewood, Michael Pumphrey of Cincinnati and Timothy Pumphrey of Erlanger; sister, Rosa Lee Young of Melbourne, Fla.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, with blessing following at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park
