Helen Joann Day, 76, of Union, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY.

Helen worked as a housekeeper for the Drawbridge Inn for many years. She was known for her love of family and the joy she found in simple pleasures. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, tending to her flower beds, and spending time in the garden. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, and she loved decorating her home to celebrate the season.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Mary Chapman, and sisters, Virgie Diane Chapman and Vivian Blevins.

Helen is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Bradley Day; daughter, Alicia Joann Day (Cody Hampton); grandchildren, Bridget Joann Alexander and Michael Paul Alexander; brother: William “Buddy” (Beverly) Chapman, Andrew (Connie) Chapman, and Raymond Chapman; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 12:00 PM at Linnemann Family Funeral Homes, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.

Brad So sorry for your loss

I was honored to get to wait on Helen for nearly 16 years at Bank of Kentucky now Truist Bank. Your wife was truly a breath of fresh air and will be missed by myself and I am sure many others. I actually cried the day Evelyn told me of her passing. I can only imagine the pain and sorrow you and your family are going thru keep her memories close and they will see you thru. Love Melissa
