Harold Montgomery

Harold A. Montgomery, 94, of Edgewood, KY passed away December 1, 2013 at Emeritus at Edgewood Senior Living. Harold was an Army WWII Veteran and worked for over 30 years as a General Agent with the Pacific Fruit Express Railroad and in the greenhouse at Swan Floral and Gift Shop for 15 years. He was a member of St. Henry Church, Holy Name Society, Supervisory of the St. Henry Credit Union, Catholic Order of Foresters, Knights of Columbus, and a Kentucky Colonel. Harold is survived by his wife of 67 years Lucille Montgomery (nee Finke), daughter Diane Groeschen(Jude), daughter Donna Bravard(Mark), daughter Debby Ross(David), daughter Chris Bain(John), son Steve Montgomery(Linda), son Tim Montgomery, daughter Laurie Werner(Norb), son Harold Montgomery Jr.(Gail), daughter Julie Hicks(Jim), 38 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, brother Robert Montgomery(Carol), and sister Mary Gates. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Tonya Obarski in 2012 and daughter-in-law Cindy Montgomery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 4, 2013 6pm until 7pm at St. Henry Church in Elsmere, KY. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation and begin at 7pm at the church. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery Ft. Mitchell, KY.
