Condolences

Grace E. Dillon, 81, of Ft. Mitchell, fought the good fight, finished the race and went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 2, 2017. She was powerfully devoted to her faith, the Blessed Mother, her family, pro-life causes, and an annoying pet bird named “Corky.” Grace was feisty, witty and more intelligent than she would ever admit. Charitable to the core, she took pride in her Saint Augustine parish (Covington, KY) roots. As a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, she helped establish and maintain the Eucharistic Adoration devotion. She was born to the late Theodore and Anna (nee: Knauf) Berling. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas X. Dillon, in 1998, and siblings, Ralph, Rich and Thomas Berling and Mary Ann Wind. She is survived by her good-looking children: Timothy (Mary Ellen) Dillon of Kettering, OH, Christopher (Lissa) Dillon of Ft. Wright, Jayne (Paul) Murphy of Colerain, OH, Geri (Dave) Weller of Villa Hills, Patrick Sean Dillon of Cincinnati, and Terrence (Anne) Dillon of Erlanger – and her brother, Arthur Berling, of Erlanger, and her sister, Margaret Shepherd, of Florence. She also leaves behind 13 cherubic grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10:30am at Saint Augustine Church in Covington, KY with a reception to follow. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Diocese of Covington Pro-Life Office, 1125 Madison Avenue, Covington, KY 41011.

Condolences

I remember Grace from growing up in the Blessed Sacrament community and as a friend of my mother.
I had the privilege of reuniting with Grace more recently at masses at St Augustine, she was truly a wonderful person.

Prayers and peace to the entire Dillon family, Geri, my sincerest condolences.

Donny Hinkel
