Georgette S. Halloran, 95, of Butler, OH, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Rosedale Green in Covington, KY.

Georgette was born in 1929 in Mt. Vernon, New York. She lived her young life in Mt. Vernon with her four sisters. In her twenties, she worked in the office at Sanborn Maps.

One night at a dance, Georgette met Joseph Halloran, who she thought was “a handsome man.” They married in 1963 and had their only child, Mark, the following year.

Once married, she became a homemaker. Her artistic eye found beauty in everything around her. She found fulfillment in painting, needlepoint, knitting, sewing, and quilting, infusing each piece with her unique style.

Georgette loved animals, especially her cat, Muffin. She enjoyed watching the birds and ducks outside her window and wildlife documentaries.

She enjoyed watching old movies and cooking. No one cooks like Georgette!

Georgette survived breast cancer, but at the age of 95 she succumbed to an upper respiratory infection.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph G. Halloran (1989) and sisters, Marion Swink and Bobbie Crosby.

Georgette is survived by her son, Mark Halloran; granddaughter, Erin Halloran; her older sister, Winnie Brady and younger sister, Valerie Carroll; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation celebrating Georgette’s life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Linnemann Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, 30 Commonwealth Ave., Erlanger, KY 41018.
