George Schmidt

George C. Schmidt Jr., 88, of Ft. Mitchell, died Tuesday May 21st, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospice. He was a wholesale grocer for 37 years, a Corporal in the Marine Corps and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was preceded in death by parents, George and Catherine Schmidt. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor “Chris” Schmidt of Ft. Mitchell; his daughters, Debbie (Joe) Menkhaus of Ft. Mitchell, Connie (Jerry) Wellbrock of Crestview Hills, Kathy (Steve) Roeding of Villa Hills, and Mary Bell of Ft. Mitchell; his son, George (Terri) Schmidt III of Villa Hills; his sister, Rita (Jack) Ryan of Ft. Mitchell; and his brother, Jerry (Judy) Schmidt of Edgewood. He also leaves behind his 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be said on Friday May 24th at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
