Gayle Reid Glenn

Obituary
Condolences

Gayle Reid Glenn, age 78, of Elsmere, Kentucky, passed away on September 7, 2025, at Villa Springs. He was born on October 17, 1946, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late William and Norma (Callen) Glenn.

A graduate of Lloyd High School, Gayle went on to vocational school to specialize in printing. From a young age, he carried a strong sense of responsibility—beginning work at just 14 years old after the passing of his father to help provide for his family.

Gayle’s life was guided by his faith. A longtime member of Orchard Street Baptist Church, he was devoted to ensuring others had the opportunity to learn about God. He even purchased and donated a church bus, personally driving through neighborhoods on Sundays to pick up children and bring them to church.

He worked for over 20 years at SquareD and later for more than 20 years at ImagePoint. Beyond his work and service, Gayle’s heart was always with his family. As one of ten siblings, he cherished his brothers and sisters and had a special love for his many nieces and nephews. Known for his good sense of humor, Gayle believed laughter was a gift to be shared and encouraged others to never lose theirs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Bill Glenn, Mark Wayne Glenn, Patricia “Pat” Robinson, Beverly Rogers, and Pamela Kay Glenn.

He is survived by his siblings: Sandra Strong, William “Frank” Glenn Jr., Kenny “Boots” Hymer, David Allen (Dotty) Glenn, and Donna (Mark) Jackson, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to carry his memory.

Services for Gayle will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 9:30–10:30 a.m., with a funeral service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.
