Francine J. Landolfi

Obituary
Condolences

Francine J. Landolfi, 51, of Florence, KY, formerly of East Islip, NY, and South Glens Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at her residence on November 8, 2025.

Born on May 2, 1974, in Queens, NY, Francine was the daughter of the late Frank and Carol Ann Landolfi. A 1992 graduate of South Glens Falls High School, she went on to earn dual associate degrees from SUNY Adirondack Community College in Health Information Technology and Liberal Arts.

For 26 years, Francine was a dedicated and highly skilled Coding Specialist at Glens Falls Hospital, where she specialized in cancer coding. Known for her extensive knowledge and meticulous attention to detail, she was often called upon to handle the most complex cases and to train others in the field. Her professionalism, integrity, and compassion made her a trusted colleague and a valued member of the hospital community.

Outside of her career, Francine was a deeply creative spirit with a gift for seeing beauty and purpose in everything around her. From an early age—when she began crafting “mud pies” in the yard—Francine’s imagination flourished. She became a talented artist and crafter, often creating unique gifts for friends and family. Her love for fine arts, floral design, and baking—especially her cupcakes—were well known. Her work was admired at local craft fairs and charity events, including the Festival of Trees at Glens Falls Hospital, where she helped lead fundraisers and community projects.

Francine’s heart was as generous as it was creative. She was always the first to lend a hand or offer encouragement, even while managing her own health challenges in recent years. Her resilience, kindness, and positivity were an inspiration to all who knew her. She loved upstate New York, cherished the sight of cardinals, and enjoyed geocaching adventures as “GeoFrenzie.” She also had a lifelong fascination with Steampunk art and culture.

Earlier in her life, Francine proudly served as a summer intern at the Pentagon with the U.S. Air Force—an experience she treasured. She was also a member of the American Academy of Professional Coders.

Francine is survived by her loving siblings: Christine (David) Williams, USAF Ret. Chief Master Sergeant; Raymond (Doreen) Landolfi; and Marianne (Robert) Moody. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews who adored her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington, KY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 10:00AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Union, KY. Francine will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in South Glens Falls, NY. Services in New York will be held at a later date.

My sincere Condolences

I am very sorry to hear of Francine’s passing. I worked with Francine for years at GFH and sat next to her up on the 3rd floor. We had some good laughs and great memories. Francine and Bill introduced me to my husband Michael as they were friends of his. I am forever grateful for that. I remember several geocaching trips we went on together and visiting her at her house. The craft fairs she would attend and the sheer natural talent she had for floral decorations. I have one of her pieces in my home. I also have a small glass angel she gifted to me when Michael and I got a home together. She was a very loving person and friend and she was funny and often inappropriate which would make all of us crack up. I will miss her but I know I will see her again one day. Rest easy my friend. -Kim
