Eugene Riedel

COVINGTON- Eugene Douglas Riedel, 100, passed away Tuesday March 11th at Rosedale Green Nursing Home in Covington. He retired from Avey Machine Tool Company as a supervisor and lathe worker for 30 plus years. He was a Kentucky Colonel, member of St Joseph Crescent Springs (former member of St James Church in Ludlow), Kentucky Cousins Square Dancing Group, Ludlow Seniors and played golf with the Kenton County Seniors. He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Kelly and brother Richard Riedel. Survivors include his daughter Joan Erb Breetz of Villa Hills, son Dr. Richard D. (Nancy) Riedel of Cincinnati, son Michael D. (Kathy) Riedel of Crestview Hills, grandchildren Diane(Kenny) Sears, Karen Berling, Michele (Chris) Geiger, Susan (Ken) Schlachter, Barbara (Norb) Weyer, Andy Riedel, Chris (Amy) Riedel, Kim (Frank) Sanchez, Debbie (Steve) Struckman, Tricia (Jarron) Fischer. Also surviving are 22 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday March 15th from 10am to 12noon with mass to follow at St Joseph Church in Crescent Springs. Entombment will be held on Monday March 17th at St Mary Cemetery in Ft Mitchell.
