Eugene John Ewing

Eugene “Gene” John Ewing, 86, born September 8, 1931, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. Gene was a Navy Veteran an avid golfer and Cincinnati Reds fan. He retired from the USPS after 47 years. His parents Ennis and Francis Ewing, siblings: Elaine Harris, James Ewing, Pauline Schuh and Patricia Deem preceded him in death. Gene will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Ewing; their children: Jennifer Clemmons Brown, Angela (David) Ewing Barker, Rebecca Ewing Barga, Eric John (Christy) Ewing; siblings Thomas “Butch” Ewing and Martha Ewing; grandchildren: Bryan (Melanie), Emilie, Isaac, Myles, Matthew, Andrew, Rachael, Courtney, Nathan, Zachary, Dia, Kyler, and Trevyn; great-grandchildren: Sterling, Chance, and Xander “George”; as well as many family members and friends.  Visitation will take place on Friday, February 9, 2018 form 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Linnemann Family Funeral Home and Event Center in Burlington, KY. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Burlington, KY with interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH.
