Dr. James Angel

Dr. James R. Angel, 85, of Florence, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Hospice, in Edgewood, KY. Dr. Angel was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He graduated in 1959 from Auburn University College of Veterinarian Medicine. Dr. Angel practiced veterinarian medicine for 42 years and operated Elsmere Animal Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Justine Angel, daughter Jennifer Oppenheimer (Robert), daughter Julie Donoghue (Brian), son James R. Angel Jr. (Laurie), grandchildren Aaron, Ryan, Jordan, Maggie, Maddy, and Morgan, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Lauren Elizabeth Angel in 2009. A private graveside service will be held for the family. A public celebration of life will be held on Friday August 21, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm at the Edgewood Senior Center.
