Dr. Garry Warren Neltner
Garry Warren Neltner, DPM, 83, passed away peacefully, at his Edgewood, KY residence, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 26, 2023. Dr. Neltner was born in Covington, KY on February 23, 1940 to the late Joseph E. and Leona (Meier) Neltner. During his life, Dr. Neltner served his community practicing as a Podiatrist for 52 years. He is a member of St. Pius X Church and served as a Minister of Hospitality. His community involvement included the Council on Aging, Kenton County Health Department, past Director of the Podiatry Political Action Committee of Kentucky, past President of KY Podiatry Association, lifetime member of the NRA and Ducks Unlimited, and recently received the 2023 Middleton Lifetime Achievement Award. He had a deep and abiding affinity for German Shorthaired Pointer dogs and relished taking myriad hunting trips to international destinations with friends and family. He was an ardent avocational farmer and was never happier than when baling hay on a beautiful summer day on his Kubota tractor on his farm. In addition to his parents, Dr. Neltner was preceded in death by his brother Ronald Neltner. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Janice Neltner (nee Glindmeyer), son Marc Neltner (Susan), son Scott Neltner (Jill), son Paul Neltner (Tracy), daughter Krista Campbell (John), son Kurt Neltner (Carolyn), grandchildren: Rebecca, Will, Bridget, Laura, Ellen, Abby, Calvin, Jack, Ty, Sam, Andrew, Daniel, Clare, Sarah, Samantha, and Clayton, brother Roger L. Neltner, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will take place at St. Pius X Church on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 9am until 12 noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation. Entombment will be at Mother of God Cemetery. A reception will be held in the undercroft at St. Pius X Church immediately following the entombment.
