Dr. Charles Zimmer III DPM

Charles Zimmer III, DPM, 90, of Ft. Wright, KY, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice, on Thursday, June 18, 2015. Dr. Zimmer, a U.S. Army Veteran, had a passion about and was instrumental in teaching Native American culture and dancing in this region; and was the only non-scout to be inducted to the Order of the Arrow. He was a member of Mother of God Church, Past President of the Covington Optimist Club, a Kentucky Colonel, Past President of the Kentucky Podiatry Association, Founding Board Member of Be Concerned, Charter Member of 5 Seasons, and an avid tennis player. Dr. Zimmer is survived by his wife Nancy Rowles, daughter Nancy Hiltibrand (Kim), son David Zimmer (Rose), son Michael Zimmer (Joy), son Steven Zimmer (Regina), 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister Emily Von Holle, brother William Zimmer, step-daughter Margo Rowles (Yoram Carmi), step-daughter Elizabeth Conrad (Rick), step-son John Rowles (Sheela), step-daughter Carolyn Rowles, and 4 step-grandchildren. A visitation was held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at Linnemann Funeral Home, in Burlington, KY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place today, Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Mother of God Church at 12:05pm. A private Internment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY.
