Obituary
Condolences

Dorothy Arlene Heidrich (née Schuler), age 94, passed away peacefully on January 3rd, 2026.

Dorothy was born on November 8, 1931, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Herman Schuler and Catherine (née Brunen). She lived a life defined by gentleness, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to her family, always placing their needs above her own.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Edward Heidrich, and her son-in-law, Rob Ruehlmann.

Dorothy is survived by her loving children: Mary Ann Ruehlmann, Beth Dietz (Tim), John Heidrich, Jr. and Joe Heidrich (Tracy). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Chris (Matthew), Matt (Vanessa), Becky (Carl) Kennedy, Paul (Bethany) Ruehlmann, Jordan (Lacey) Parks, Jim (Macee) Dietz, John Dietz, and Nathan Heidrich. She also leaves behind twelve great-grandchildren, with one more joyfully on the way.

Dorothy had a special love for birds, especially hummingbirds, which truly tugged at her heartstrings. Those who knew her will remember her quiet strength, gentle spirit, and the deep love she poured into her family. All who had the privilege of knowing Dorothy were truly blessed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, from 10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, in honor of Dorothy’s memory…
