Doris Nadine Stidham, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 4th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, after bravely facing complications from cancer. She was 77 years old.

She was born to the late Toby and Evelyn Gilliam on February 6, 1947.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Larry Gilliam.

She is loved and will be missed by her husband, David Stidham, her son, Rodney Stidham, granddaughter, Brittany (Travis) Walls, her brother, Jerry Gilliam, and her sister, Debbie Gilliam. She also leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.

Doris was a woman of many passions and joys. Among her greatest pleasures were the simple joys of crafting, where her creativity knew no bounds. Doris also found great delight in attending craft shows.

Camping trips with her family brought her immense joy. Her spirit was uplifted by the beauty of the outdoors. One of her favorite destinations was Cades Cove in the mountains, where she cherished many memories with her family. Doris was also a huge supporter of UK basketball and loved to cheer on the Wildcats.

Above all, Doris cherished her family, finding her greatest happiness in their love and companionship. Her warmth, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Christmas was Doris’ favorite time of year. She delighted in decorating the tree, baking festive treats, and creating cherished memories with her loved ones. Her joy was contagious, spreading cheer to all who gathered in her home.

Though Doris’s earthly journey has come to an end, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished moments that will be forever treasured. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty and serenity she so dearly loved.

Funeral services will be held privately by the family. Doris will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, Kentucky.
