Doreen Sears

Doreen “Bonnie” Sears, 92, of Ft Wright, KY passed away on March 4th, 2016 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. Originally from London, England, Bonnie saw the destruction of World War II first hand, volunteering with the Red Cross throughout the war. After the war she married Fred Sears and arrived in the U.S. as a warbride in early 1946, becoming an American citizen in 1953. She continued to volunteer for the Red Cross and was also an active member at Trinity Episcopal Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Sears. Bonnie is survived by her sons; William Sears and Shirley Osborne and Robert and Mona Sears, her grandchildren; Rebecca and Pat McCasion, Renee and Pat Riegler, Robyn Sears, Meredith and Todd Brewer, Elizabeth and Reid Morehouse, Tommy Osborne, and Tracy Osborne, and by her great grandchildren; Will Brewer, Elizabeth Brewer, and Reese Riegler. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9th, 2016 from 9-10am at Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington, KY. A service will immediately follow at 10am. Bonnie will be laid to rest a Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
