Donald Shattuck

Donald V. Shattuck, 88, Erlanger, died Sunday, January 26, at Villaspring Care Center of Erlanger, KY. He retired as Vice-President of Ingersoll-Rand Corporation where he worked for 40 years. He served in the United States Air Force as a tail gunner on a B-24 bomber, where he flew missions to protect the east coast of the United States during World War II. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline Shattuck in 1992, second wife, Jane Shattuck in 2008 and daughter, Jane Eacret (Brian) in 2013. Survivors include sons, Paul Shattuck (Gail) of Livermore, CA and Donald Shattuck, Jr. (Joy) of Lakeside Park, KY; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Elton of Westfield, Mass. and Elaine Arzberger of Sarasota, FL.
A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Crestview Hills, KY. A reception and meal will follow the service in the fellowship hall.
