Donald L. “Donnie” Powell, 64, passed away Friday September 27, 2024 at St Elizabeth Medical Center in Ft Thomas KY. Donnie was an avid dirt track racing fan. Whether he was behind the wheel or cheering in the stands, the thrill of racing was one of his all time favorites. His love for dirt track racing was only rivaled by his love for the lake! He loved boating and soaking in the sun. He created countless family memories on the water. Family was the cornerstone of Donnie’s life. He relished every moment shared with his wife, kids and grandkids. Donnie was a faith filled man that would share his testimonies with others. He was a supportive friend and relative to many and will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by his parents Donald and Mildred Powell. Survivors include wife of 39 years, Kelly Powell, son Donnie (Amy) Powell, son Josh (Becky) Powell, Daughter Heather (Cody) Kimberlin, Son Brandon (Ashley) Powell and sister Vicky (Jerry) Newman. Also surviving are grandchildren Maria, Jolie, Brayden, Kempton, Maylin, Gage, Abram, Summer, Lainey and Ko. Visitation will be held Thursday October 3, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington KY 41005. Funeral Service will be held Friday October 4, 2024 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Highland Cemetery in Ft Mitchell, KY.
