Our Friend

Always the kindest UPS delivery person he always made my day when he came in to St Elizabeth. Especially at Covid a smiling face always and even in the Cancer Care as hard as it was always a smiling face. So glad I got to know you and Patty. Prayers for the family we are all grieving at Cancer Center. Always Mary

UPS Friendship

Don was my first friend at UPS. We started together in the mid eighties (he one year ahead of me). He was a great co-worker to have. He worked hard and didn’t hesitate to help a driver in need. He was respected by his co-workers and the customers he served for all those years. The consummate professional was Don. A big family man, as well. Kathy and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Patty, Ryan, Alex and the rest of your family. We lost a good one. R.I.P. my friend…Jock Clements

Sending my thoughts and prayers

I had the privilege of meeting Don at the Cancer Care Center in Infusion. He always took the time to ask me how I was, and always had a smile and kind words for me no matter how he felt or what he was going through! Once, when I was working in the port lab, I turned around to tell him goodbye, and he gave me the biggest hug! I will never forget that! It was during the COVID period when we were all still wearing masks and people were afraid to even shake hands. And here was Don just loving people! I had tears in my eyes! And still do just thinking about that! In my 32 years of nursing, that truly is a defining moment, thanks to Don making me realize that life is short and we all should be grateful and just simply love each other! I am truly blessed to have met him! Sending my prayers for God’s peace and comfort to surround you during this difficult time!

Package Man

The highlight of my day in my IT job years ago was when Don would come in and deliver our packages. he always had a minute to sit down eat a piece of candy and hang out. I am so sorry for your family loss. Donald was an amazing man and I’ll never forget him, and how he made every day a little bit brighter. My father died from cancer at age 61 on December 22 of 2018.. so I know all too well with the family is going through. My dad golfed with Don. They go together on my mother’s companies golf league. I guess he needs some good guys because they were taken way too soon
Prayers to you all

Prayers for the family

So sorry to hear of Don’s passing. In the past year, we ran into each other at the St E Cancer Care Center and had a good talk about our families and Gates. You all are in my prayers. Don was one of the good guys.
Love,
Loretta Nelson

Good memories of a good man.

Sending prayers for peace to Patty and the whole family. Don was a good man. Jack and I always enjoyed hanging out with you all when Tami and Brett were your neighbors. Someone said this to me when my dad passed and it brought me some peace: “He’s going back to the star stuff from which we all come. You can’t destroy energy, so hopefully that which was his is filtering back into our universe.”
