Diane Jean Allex

Diane Jean Allex, 72, of Union, KY passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. She was born September 21, 1950 in Kalispell, MT to the late Perman and Audrey Cody. Diane was full of life and loved her family deeply. She especially enjoyed the holidays, when everyone would come together to celebrate. She had many friends and neighbors who were very important to her, and they looked out for Diane and helped as her health declined. Her family and friends were her rock and she loved and appreciated all the help and support they so graciously showed her throughout her life. Even with her family and friends scattered about the U.S., she always stayed in touch and made sure to keep up with all of their lives. Diane was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and was especially fond of the ocean. She always had a special spot in her heart for the Southwest and the mountains out west where she was from. She was also a pet lover and had cared for, and loved numerous animals throughout her life, especially her most recent dog, Rio. He was her special little guy. Her husband, Martin Allex, her sisters: Sharon Stone and Janice Hochbaum, and her sister-in-law, Norma Cody preceded her in death. Diane is survived by her loving siblings: Kathy Reineke (Tom), Michael Cody (Delta), Susan Reed (Wallace Davis), Dean Cody and Don Cody (Carmen), and her numerous nieces and nephews who all loved her so much. A memorial visitation will be held for Diane on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A memorial service will be held immediately following at 4:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Diane and her love for animals to the Boone County Animal Shelter at 5643 Idlewild Rd, Burlington, KY 41005.
