Diane Fanning

Kathryn “Diane” Fanning, 74 of Covington, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 12, 2025. She was born on September 21, 1951, in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Granville Bruce Cason and Kathryn Sue Cason (Knox).

Diane was a devoted wife to her husband of 45 years, Thomas (Tom) Fanning. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt who loved spending time with her family. She was a talented artist and a fantastic cook and baker.  After working many years serving others in the food service industry at Stringtown Restaurant, she retired as a chef in the cafeteria at Cengage in Independence, Kentucky. She had a great love for the many dogs she and Tom owned over the years. She loved music and had a sharp wit and sense of humor that all who knew her best will remember. She brought great joy to all her family and friends. Diane was a faithful follower of Christ and a long-time contributor to CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network), so that many would come to hear about her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Granville Bruce Cason and Kathryn Sue Cason, and her brothers, Granville Cason Jr., and Joseph A Cason.

She is survived by her loving husband Tom; siblings Suzanne Patterson, Gregory (Cheryl) Cason, Donald (Theresa) Cason, and Jacqueline (Ronald) Akin; sister in law: Terri Cason, and many nieces and nephews who were very dear to her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Hebron Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday, January 10th, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions toward funeral expenses can be made to Linnemann Funeral Homes, Erlanger, Kentucky.
