Dennis Griffin

Dennis B. Griffin, 72, entered into eternal life peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2015 surrounded by his family. Dennis will be dearly missed by his wife, Joyce (Bowen) Griffin, his daughter, Traci (Mike) Kautzman, and his sons Tony (Cheri) Griffin and Toby Griffin and his five grandchildren, Mitchell, Marcus, Austin, Paige and London Griffin. Dennis was the oldest of twelve children, and former president and CEO of Griffin Industries whose career spanned over 50 years. Known for his passion for others and generosity, he was a philanthropist and charitable supporter of numerous schools, churches, and organizations as well as a highly regarded community leader. He was highly respected in the rendering industry and held many patents for revolutionary processes in his field. He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. and Rosellen (Van Nest) Griffin and his brothers James and Ronald Griffin. He touched the lives of many family members, friends and employees. Visitation will take place at St. Pius Catholic Church in Edgewood, KY on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. A funeral Mass will be held following the visitation at 2:00 PM.
