Dennis Babb

I went to Conner High School…Class of 77. Dennis graduated a year ahead of me in 76. I knew OF HIM….because he was such a popular, caring guy…but we were never friends in high school only because we ran with too completely different sets of friends…nothing more. Many years after high school graduation, I got a job at the IRS. I learned my job very quickly, and within 4 years of starting to work there was selected to travel to DC to meet with the analysts to discuss upcoming program changes. By this point…my weight had significantly increased by around 100 ( YES…ONE HUNDRED POUNDS) additional pounds. My first day to my class in DC….I noticed Dennis. I knew he looked familiar…but wasn’t exactly sure of where was from. I thought about it for a day….and remembered his face and name. I went up to him and introduced myself to him. What were the odds of finding someone in DC…that I went to high school in Hebron, KY with? Dennis helped me out while I wa# there and we stayed in touch ever since. I last saw him in person September 2017….at a pre-reunion get together for my class of 77’s 40th which was help the next day. I will ALWAYS remember Dennis’ HUGE heart, his down to earth personality…and willingness to help any one with ANYTHING. His death has left a HUGE HOLE…in the hearts of ALL who were lucky enough to know him. Praying for his family and MANY friends….let his memory bring loving thoughts and memories…to cherish for a lifetime. God bless…

Dennis was always a very kind, knowledgeable and patient person to work with. We really miss him.

Dennis was a true humanitarian…he thought a lot about how things would impact others…he was the best movie and sitcom trivia resource outside of Hollywood…he could quote movie lines like no other and always had something profound to say about why an actor chose a role. His music knowledge was extensive. When he left the flat top to head to DC, he made tapes for everyone with our favorite tunes…If you wanted an honest, logical answer…Dennis was the person to tap. His passing is very sad for a lot of people…he touched so many lives….Deepest heartfelt sympathies for his family and friends…will miss you Dennis…Peace and hugs…

Your stories were attention grabbing, your love for your family & friends was admirable, your knowledge of movies & music was impressive…you’ll always hold a special place in the hearts of those whose lives you touched. Thank you for being so special & caring to us.
