We just learned tonight of your dear loving wife and mom. She was a wonderful teacher who had such a positive impact on generations of young people a great contribution toGods community than any other can give. We are so sorry she was too young to leave you my dad was only 56 i know there must be a reason we will figure it out in our own time
Changed my daughters life
I just learned of your passing. I am completely shocked and grief stricken. At the beginning of every school year I sent you and email and updated picture of my daughter Violet. You changed my daughters life. You took a misunderstood little girl and encouraged her blossoming. You took her under your wing and guided her through many years of turmoil. You helped her to better understand herself and gave a mother hope of a better future. She called you mom and me momma. She loved you unconditionally. I can’t express in words the impact you made on our lives. I don’t know if there are even words to express our gratitude. All I know is you were truly an angel sent from above. Now you are an angel looking down on her. Thank you for all you gave and sacrificed for your students. I pray your family finds peace in their loss. You were truly a great lady. Love Violet and Sarah

Dear Greg, Amanda, Kevin, Alison, and Family~ My heart is breaking for all of you…… please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of Dee/your Mom. Her dedication, devotion, and support for all of her Odyssey kids (including mine!) will always hold a special place in the heart of so many in Northern Kentucky. She was a quiet, giving, and fiercely loyal force to her family. I always enjoyed catching up on what was new with Amanda and Kevin; such an obviously proud Mom. She left a bright light that cannot be extinguished. Thank you for sharing her with the Odyssey family……Sending loving thoughts and prayers. Robin Storrs
Leader
Dee was a leader at Goodridge Elementary. She served faithfully as The EBD teacher at Goodridge Elementary and taught so many of us how to handle intense situations by the the love and care that she showed her students in times of critical times of need. Dee helped the FRC by accompanying Mrs. Ganns by picking up food at local pantry for our students and carrying heavy boxes of food to our storage area for families in need. She did it because she loved her students and cared for their well being. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Loss of a Sister
Words cannot express how sorry I am. I feel like I lost a sister. She was a dear friend since high school. Dee, you may not be with us physically, but know your memory will be with us every time we get together. You are so loved.
Our prayers to the Beers/Wind families.
Sorrow
So sorry to hear about your wife, Greg !!!!! May God surround you and your family with his love through this rough time !!!!!
One in a million
For years my son Anthony was socially awkward. Was always labeled the uncontrollable kid. This year was his first year at steeplechase, as well as many others. You where the person to brake him out of she, and made him want to join his first club, odyssey of the mind with you! He looked forward to it every week. And he just loved you to pieces! Thank you for giving my child the love and warmth he so needed! You where seriously a special gym and he misses you deeply!
A wonderful mentor
Dee was a wonderful mentor to me at our first year at Steeplechase. While I may not have known of her as long as many other people while teaching, she will leave a lasting impression because of the conversations we had about a student we shared. She taught me to look at things that I may not have seen before and prepared me for the things that could come. She has left my colleagues and I better teachers just by having known her.
To our most loving coach and cookie baker
Mrs. Beers you are the odyssey Mom and the supportive figure who helped to make the friendships we all share last a lifetime. You brought us together with your energy every time we are all together. I will always remember the amazing cookies you brought us and the adventures we have shared. My heart aches to know you have left us for heaven but, I know the sky is brighter now with you there.
