Deborah Sambrano

Deborah Sue Sambrano (née Yoder), 76, passed peacefully into eternal rest at her home, surrounded by family, on June 1st, 2025. Beloved wife of the late James Sambrano. Loving mother of Nicole Lynch (Leonardo Scalisse do Carmo) and Eric Lynch (Katie Bachmeyer). Devoted grandmother of Chincoan, Zoosap, Yaxche, Suminangwa, Tsuyya, Cecily, Nell, Mina, and Cassidy. Dear sister to Barbara Norton and Peggy Shramek.
Born on March 17th, 1949, in Cleveland, OH, Debbie was a proud St. Patrick’s Day baby, and she wore her Irish heritage with joy and enthusiasm throughout her life. She graduated from the Toledo School of Nursing and the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing, and spent her career as a pediatric nurse practitioner in the Hematology/Oncology department at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Although her career was shortened by illness, she loved being a nurse and always expressed gratitude for the many years she was lucky enough to have been able to help care for patients and their families.
Debbie approached life’s challenges with a unique combination of strength, determination, and humor, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. A remarkable wife, mother, Granny, and friend, her passing leaves a deep, irreplaceable void in the hearts of many. The world will seem too quiet without her quick laughter.
Services will be held Wednesday, June 18, at St. Timothy Parish in Union, KY. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will take place immediately after, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear green in her remembrance.
