David S. Perkins
David S. Perkins, 80, of Lakeside Park, KY died at home on Sunday, April 15, 2018 after a long illness. To everyone that had the pleasure to work with or know David, he personified the adage, “It’s better to give than receive.” He was extremely committed and passionate to the things he most loved – his wife Pat, his sons Adam and Alex, their children – and his work and community.
David was a consummate Public Relations expert who retired as Public Relations Director for the Drackett Company after 30 years. In addition, he was also very civic minded. He used his writing, speaking and fund-raising talents as President -Blessed Sacrament Boosters, President – Blessed Sacrament Parish Council, President – Ft. Mitchell Spartans. Additionally, he led the revitalization campaign for the Cathedral Basilica in Covington. He was also instrumental in running many successful political campaigns. David loved sports and coached Knothole Baseball for years. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Pat Perkins; sons Adam Perkins (Mary) and Alex Perkins of Lakeside Park, KY; grandchildren Amanda Vogel (Jason), Blake Perkins, Leighton Perkins and Chelsea Schoemaker; great grandchildren Vivian Vogel and Loraine Vogel; sister Miriam O’Hare (Michael). Visitation will be Friday, April 20, 2018 from 10-11:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at noon, all at Blessed Sacrament Church. 2409 Dixie Highway, Ft. Mitchell Kentucky 41017. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery Fort Mitchell, KY. In lieu of flowers please donate to Covington Catholic High School 1600 Dixie Highway, Park Hills, Ky. 41011.
