David L. Belbot, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Woodcrest Nursing and Rehab Center in Elsmere, KY.
David was born on June 24, 1943, in Tampa, FL to the late William and Ruth (Stern) Belbot. He attended Elder High School in Cincinnati, OH and was a graduate of the class of 1961. David proudly served in the United States Navy from 1962-1966 and was stationed in San Diego, California. He attended trade school where he learned the skills of a plumber. David married the love of his life, Joyce in October of 1968. They started a life together and had two wonderful sons, Matthew and Benjamin.
David was a hard worker who always provided for his family. He was an avid Bengals fan who loved a good meal at Bob Evans, and spending time with his grandkids. No matter the circumstances, you could always count on him to be there for you. He loved his family fiercely, especially his grandkids who he adored. David will be remembered for his sarcastic sense of humor, his hard work and dedication, and most of all, the unwavering love he had for his family. For all that had the privilege of knowing this great man, he will truly be missed in the days to come.
Preceding David in death are his loving wife, Joyce; parents, William and Ruth Belbot and one brother, William Belbot.
Those left here to carry on his legacy are his sons, Matthew (Theresa) Belbot, Benjamin (Adrianne) Belbot; grandkids, Joshua, Zachary, Alexandria, Sydney, Samantha, Payton, Kierstin, Ethan; sister, Barbara (Steve) Macdonald; sister-in-law, Lois Belbot.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Linnemann Funeral Home 30 Commonwealth Ave, Erlanger, KY 41018. Following the visitation, David will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY at 2:00 pm where full military honors will be rendered.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in David’s name to the American Heart Association PO Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284-0691.
