Condolences

David Lee Ayres, age 85, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at his home in Erlanger, Kentucky. Dave was born on April 4, 1941, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the youngest of four brothers.

Dave proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Paris, France. While in France he met the love of his life, Christiane Godet. They were married on November 7,1964, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned more than six decades. Together Dave and Chris built a loving family and raised three children: David William Ayres (Alissa), Myriam (Mimi) Voyles (Jeff) and Francine (Tess) Healy (Sean). He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Ainsley, Cambren, Matthew, and Gabrielle.

Always reliable for a joke and quick one liner… Dave will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at Saint Pius X Catholic Church, 348 Dudley Rd, Edgewood, KY on June 1, 2026, at 11am. Visitation with the family will begin at 10am.

Gym Friend

So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. I only knew Dave from seeing and talking with him at the gym. He was amazing that he kept exercising as long as he could. And it was amazing that he had so many jokes that he could remember and share. We will all miss seeing Dave sitting in the chair by the front desk with his cup of coffee and greeting us.
My sincerest sympathies to his family.
