Dan will be missed

Dan was an ardent advocate for IRS both as an employee and retiree. His zeal to get the job done combined with his warmth and concern for others defined him. He will be missed. John Hummel

Dan’ s passing

Very sorry to hear this I met Dan years ago at IRS and was a fellow executive who considered him a friend. I always admired his extensive knowledge of IRS operations as well his strong sense of integrity. RIP

Rest in Peace, Dan

I got to know and love Dan through AFIRE (association of former internal revenue executives) and he became one of my favorite people given his great depth of knowledge and passion for the processes, rationale and background. But more than that, Dan truly cared about the taxpayers! I feel a real sense of loss at his passing. My condolences to his family and friends. Susan Smoter

Good Guy

Dan was smart guy who was always willing to help anyone particularly his fellow former IRS Executives.

Rest in peace Dan

I worked with Dan for years in Customer Service at the IRS. After leaving the IRS he stayed connected with the IRS facebook page for retired employees keeping us all connected. May you rest in peace Dan. Prayers for the family.

Message to a friend

Dan was my Branch Chief at I.R.S., but later became a friend to the kids in the community through his generosity to the I.R.S. Christmas program. Every year Dan would email me asking about Christmas. He would often ask if we had enough for all of the kids we sponsored, even last year when he was in the hospital he made sure he and his wife made their contribution. I also know that Dan was very proud of his family, I know that by the way he talked about his wife and his boys. Dan will be missed, he was one of the good guys.
