Cynthia “Cindy” A. Bartley

Cynthia “Cindy” Bartley, 67, of Florence, KY, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood.

Born on February 13, 1958, in Riverside, California, to the late Hubert and Harriet Green, Cindy spent most of her childhood in Huber Heights, Ohio.

Cindy worked for many years as the office manager for Dobbs International, which later became Gategourmet Catering, at the airport. At home, she was always on the move: painting, woodworking, or fixing just about anything. She even built a treehouse fort for her kids and could often be found tinkering with her beloved Camaro. Her hands were never idle, and her spirit was always generous.

She had a deep love for her dogs, Toby and Beau, and a not-so-secret obsession with the Game Show Network, which was a near-constant companion in the background. More than anything, Cindy loved being there for her kids—whether it was helping with school projects, fixing up the house, or traveling with them. She found joy in family vacations to Disney World and Mexico, but one of her most cherished memories was a mother-daughter trip to Paris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Harriet Green; mother and father-in-law, Thomas and Shirley Bartley; and brother-in-law, Thomas Bartley.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, James “Jim” Bartley; children, Jenifer and James “Jimmy” Bartley; sister, Linda O’Neil; sister-in-law, Rosemary Bartley; nieces, Michelle (Joshua) Putnam and Nicole Jett (Connor Mulcahy); nephews, Thomas John (Lucianna) Bartley and Patrick Bartley; along with many great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM until the time of a brief prayer service at 6:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005.
