Clarence Rechtin

C. James “Jim” Rechtin, 88, of Erlanger, KY, formerly of Ft. Wright passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015, at Highlands of Ft. Thomas Health. He was a retired accountant from AVCO after 45 years of service, he also served in the Navy and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jim coached knothole baseball and he enjoyed the Hill Toppers, golfing, fishing, bowling, playing cards and horseshoes, and he was a Covington Catholic Booster. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Mary Lee Rechtin. He is survived by his children: Mark (Gail) Rechtin of Union, David (Linda) Rechtin of Villa Hills, Dan (Jody) Rechtin of Burlington, Tim (Ramona) Rechtin of Florence, and Terri (Ken) Roeding of Edgewood; and his sisters Henrietta Hinkle and Martha Young of Milford, OH. He also leaves behind his 13 grandchildren: Tracie, Robbie, Brian, Ben, Clay, Alex, Jennifer, Suzanne, Elizabeth, Michael, Nick, Kayla, and Rachel; and his 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Thursday July 23rd, 2015 from 4:30-6:45PM at St. Barbara Catholic Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 7:00PM at the church. Burial at St. John Cemetery in Ft.
