Charles Lewis

ERLANGER – Reverend Charles E. Lewis, 88, died June 3 at Laurel Heights Nursing Home, London, Kentucky.

He was the former Pastor of Elsmere Baptist Church in Elsmere, Ky. and Westside Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, a former employee of the International Nickel Corporation in Huntington, W. Va., Chaplain of the Erlanger Police Department, co-founder and co-owner of Huntington School of Beauty Culture, and a WW II Marine Corps veteran.

His wife, Eva Mae Lewis, and son, Charlie Lewis, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Sheri Wright of London; son, William R. Lewis of Fort Thomas; three granddaughters; and one great-grandson.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at Linnemann Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Center, Erlanger. Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Huntington, W.Va.
