Charles David Hampton

Charles David Hampton, age 83, of Edgewood, departed this life on Tuesday March 4, 2025 to live forever in the presence of God. He leaves his wife, Nancy Lucas Hampton, his brother-in-law, Larry (Doris) Lucas, nephews James Lucas, Jon Lucas, and Ozzie Romero, cousin Linda Sweeney and other cousins, and friends Dr. Larry (Jeanne) Gross, Edward and Sue Osborne, Larry Smith and John Bowers. His parents, Charles and Dorothy Hampton and brother, Donald Edward Hampton, sister-in-law Beverly Hampton,
and niece Leesa Kay Romero preceded him in death.

Charles (Dave) worked at G.E. for over 30 hears, following acceptance into General Electric’s apprentice program. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a B.S. in Industrial Management. He held various positions at General Electric, including draftsman, technical writer, provisioning agent and mentor for managers from SNECMA, G.E.’s French partner.

Dave’s legacy is his dedication to living a Christian life, and loving his family and country. He served in the army during the Vietnam War. He was a quiet, thoughtful, humble man. Dave enjoyed golf, gardening, photography, and trips out West, but his favorite destination was Charleston, South Carolina. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a friend of Northern Kentucky Baptist Church.

Jesus said, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” (John 11:25)

Visitation will be held Monday March 17, 2025 from 1pm to 2pm with funeral services to follow at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger, KY. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell.
