Charles “Chuck” Gordon Reed III
Charles “Chuck” Gordon Reed III, 61, entered eternal life on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at UC Health Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Chuck was a native of Ft. Thomas, KY and formerly of Burlington, KY. Music and family took center stage in Chuck’s life. He was the owner and president of River City Productions and founding member of the DV8 Band. Chuck was preceded in death by his father Charles “Moe” G. Reed, Jr. He will be dearly missed his loving wife Melissa Singer-Reed; children: Lee and Maddie Reed; his mother Jeanne Reed, siblings: Debbie (Tom) Keefe and Donna (Bill) Moore; as well as many family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 form 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with Service at 5:30 PM at Turfway Park 4th Floor gathering Area; 7500 Turfway Rd, Florence, KY 41042. Just logged on DV8 website after return from vacation and read the news. Very disappointed that we didn’t get a chance to give our condolences in person at the visitation. Melissa, I’m so sad to hear of Chuck’s passing. I heard of him since I being a bass guitarist (just a former amateur jazz rock player) who also is battling PC. I found out about GiveHope and Chuck’s involvement and committment.
Chuck will always be an inspiration to me. Even though I never met him or seen him and you in DV8 (I live in eastern NY), I will never forget him as a brave and a real person. I really wish I could have met him in this life… In heaven I’m sure.
