Charles Breetz
Charles H. (Bud) Breetz, 80, of Villa Hills, died on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at his residence. He was a commercial construction superintendent for Midwest Contractors in Cincinnati; a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict; a member of St. Joesph Church, Crescent Springs; a member of the Boonie’s Old Geezers of Ft. Mitchell ; a volunteer for the Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home; and a van driver for Interfaith Hospitality Network. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Kallmeyer Breetz, and sons, Tony and Timothy Breetz. Survivors include his: wife, Joan Riedel Erb Breetz; sons, Michael (Clair) Breetz of Alexandria, Gregory (Bridget) Breetz of Hebron; Tom (Della) Breetz of Villa Hills, Jim (Donna) Breetz of Hebron, and Gary (Karen) Breetz of Billings, Montana; daughters, Therese (Rob) Kranz of Mt. Lookout, Ohio, and Laura (J.T.) Quesenberry of Crestwood, Ky; step-daughters, Diane (Kenny) Sears of Cold Spring, Karen (Steve) Berling or Ft. Wright, Michele (Chris) Geiger of Anderson Twp., Ohio, Susan (Ken) Schlachter of Villa Hills, and Barbara (Norb) Weyer of Alexandria; brothers, Bill Breetz of Cincinnati, and Bob (Dalarna) Breetz of Louisville; sister, Ann (Dick) Elmer; 22 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 12 step grandchildren. Visitation 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 15, at St. Joseph Church, Crescent Springs, with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 7 p.m. A reception will follow the Mass in the Church undercroft. Private burial Saturday St. Mary Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. Memorials may be made to Saint Walburg Monastery, 2500 Amsterdam Road, Villa Hills, KY 41017; or charity of donor’s choice. Linnemann Family Funeral Home, Erlanger is serving the family.
