Catherine Adams

Catherine T. Adams (nee Leacy), 70, of Edgewood, KY, passed away Saturday July 13, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. Catherine worked as a nurse for 49 years; 25 of those years were spent serving at St. Elizabeth with 20 years as an oncology nurse and the last 5 years as an admissions nurse. She was also a Nurse Preceptor, served on the Nurse Practice Council, and was a member of St. Pius X Church in Edgewood. Catherine is survived by her children: daughter Dawn Karas (Dave) of Edgewood, KY, daughter Kelly Epplen (Mike) of Edgewood, KY, son C.R. Adams II (Robin) of Independence, KY, sister Margaretsue Burkett(Dennis) of Las Vegas, NV, sister Maryann Leacy of Kenosha, WI, brother-in-law Ralph Adams (Ginny) Paradise, CA, and grandchildren Maggie Karas, Abbey Epplen, Max Epplen, Libby Karas, Zoe Epplen, Sam Epplen, Jake Adams, and Nate Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck Adams, brother Jimmy Leacy, and parents James and Mary Leacy. A visitation will be held Wednesday July 17, 2013 4pm until 8pm at Linnemann Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Erlanger, KY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday July 18, 2013 10am at St. Pius X Church in Edgewood, KY. Entombment of urn will take place at a later date at Mother of God Cemetery in Covington.
