Carol Ann Turk

Obituary
Condolences

Carol Ann Turk, 72, of Walton, Kentucky, passed away on August 5, 2025. She was born on October 24, 1952, in Port Lavaca, Texas, to the late Raymond and Dorothy (née Kenyon) Smith.

Carol dedicated over 30 years of her life to nursing, caring selflessly for others with compassion, patience, and grace. She was the heart of her family, always putting others first, especially those she loved most.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Harold Preston Turk; her parents; and her sister, Martha Jean Tapley.

Carol is survived by her son Philip Turk (Greg Nardini), daughter Leslie Ward (Kyle), and brother Mark Raymond Smith (Lee). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Jackson and Caroline, and a cherished aunt to Clayton, Clinton, Carolynn, and Craig.

Carol found joy in life’s simplest pleasures: gardening in the sunshine, quiet moments with her dogs—especially her beloved Terry—and time spent with her grandchildren. She had a gentle spirit, a quiet strength, and a warm smile that comforted everyone around her. She was a great listener, a true friend, and she loved horses from a young age.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes, 30 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, KY 41018.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
