Carl Lee Raney, age 90, died January 15, 2017 at Villa Springs Care Center in Erlanger. He was a retired Metal Craftsman and worked for Michaels Art Bronze for over 40 years. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy. He was a dedicated father, deeply caring husband for over 60 years, loved the mountains, fishing , golf and yellow roses. He was a skilled craftsman, tireless provider, avid reader of history and a champion of backyard sports, He was the HONCHO. He will be missed. Carl was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. His wife Frances, a son Francis Scott and a daughter Jenny Lynn preceded him in death. Survivors include Kathy (Ron) of Houston, TX; sons Mick (Laura) of Nashville, TN; Dave (Melanie) of Atlanta, GA; Paul (Glenda) of Burlington, KY; Keith (Marie) of Crestview, KY and a sister –in-law Lucille Kennedy of Charlotte, NC. He was the grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of 15. Visitation will be Thursday January 19, 2017 6-8pm at Linnemann Funeral Home and Event Center, Burlington. Funeral services will be held Friday January 20th, 11am,at the funeral home. Burial will be in Burlington Cemetery. www.linnemannfuneralhomes.com
