An Admirable Fellow
Hello Joyce. . . and my sympathies to you.
You realize that I did not know Mr. Foley very well– socializing with him, as I happily did, once a year across a noisy table of his fans and friends, but I surely admired and liked him. I speak the truth when I say that I always relished the prospect of seeing him each of these recent New Year’s days and I was never disappointed! In a phrase, he was my type of guy. I’m sad that I won’t be able to again hear his stories and see his smile.
I wish I had met him many January’s ago!
Butch was a lot of fun
I worked with Butch for many years at WPAFB and vacationed once with him at Jekyll Island, GA.
He was my playing partner when I made my only hole-in-one.
I still remember his optimism when he thought he could rebuild the three carburetors of his 1964 Ferrari.
Don’t know if he ever got it running again

My condolences and farewell to a Friend
It was my honor and privilege to first met Butch then enjoy the friendship of golfing with him. It was great times and a wonderful way of spending hours on different golf courses. A wonderful story teller and traveler. I envied his journeys. My sincere condolences to his wife
And family. I will miss my fellow golfer! John Cardenas
Backyard Sign
The small sign in Butch’s backyard spoke volumes for this man. While most houses on the golf course had signs saying ”Keep out, No trespassing, Guard Dog”, Butch’s sign basically said if you hit a ball in my yard, feel free to come and get it. Smart, always willing to help, and quick with a smile or chuckle, Butch will be sorely missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. My deepest condolences Joyce.

Butch Foley – Always an encyclopedia of motorcycle knowledge
Butch will be missed by all who knew him. I was especially fond of what he would come up with for “Show and Tell” at our meetings. He always wanted to share his knowledge with the club members for the good of our passion, motorcycles. Denny White
Gentleman and a scholar
Butch was truly a gentleman and a scholar, a wonderful person who was so willing to share his knowledge and his tools. His passing will leave a huge void in our Classic British Motorcycle Club Of Cincinnati and the world.
