Bobbie “Bob” Gene Sullivan, 90, of Florence, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Born to the late Harvey and EllaRee Sullivan on January 15, 1934. Bob was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and esteemed army veteran. Bob graduated from Holmes High School in 1953, served in the US Army, stationed in Germany from 1954-1956. Bob and Joy were married March 28, 1958. After returning from service, he was hired at Cincinnati Bell Telephone where he had a long and fulfilling career. Bob spent his retirement in Florida, golfing, boating and traveling until he returned to Kentucky after the passing of Joy. He was a die-hard UK Wildcat basketball fan since the 50’s and enjoyed attending many SEC tournaments with his family. Bob also enjoyed spending time at Lake Cumberland on his pontoon boat, listening to old time country. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased in death by his wife, Joy Sullivan, son, Dana Lenhof, and brothers, Ray, Leo, and Bill Sullivan. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Karen Sullivan, Tim (Shelly) Lenhof, and Marty (Sharon) Lenhof; grandchildren, Chris (Vic) Lenhof, Cayse (Brian) Wright, Ashleigh (Mike) Shields, Sarah (Pete) Voelker, Lindsay Lenhof, Stephanie (Ben) Bonfilio, Aaron Niceley, Brandon (Nicole) Lenhof, and Rebecca Smith; 23 great-grandchildren, and brother Harold (Marlene) Sullivan. Bob will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to serving his country, and his selfless spirit. His kindness touched the lives of many, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a service following at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Bob’s memory to Honor Flight Tri-State, 8627 Calumet Way, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45249.

Bob was the best!

Gosh we will miss Bob so much. There’s so much that I could say about him, but I’ll never forget the way he treated everyone in our family. He would always greet you asking how everyone else in the family was. He is an unforgettable person. So lucky to have known him.
