Billy Lee Pelphrey, 92, of Burlington passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025. He was born in Paintsvile, Kentucky on December 11, 1932 to the late Frank and Murzie (VanHoose) Pelphrey. He married Jessie Lee Hall in 1953, who was his companion in life for nearly 70 years until her death in 2022. He is also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Earl Pelphrey, David Paris Pelphrey, Olga Mohler, Dick Pelphrey, Christine Wright, and Benny Pelphrey. He is survived by his sister Maxine Blair, his children Morissia (Michael) Ray, Randy (Amy) Pelphrey, Jerry (Lori) Pelphrey, and Belinda Euliss; 8 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Billy was a master carpenter and business owner, founding Pelphrey Construction where he built houses throughout the Dayton, Ohio area until his retirement. He was a hardworking, humble, and loving man who was a constant source of strength for his family. He loved his family, nature, playing pool, woodworking, Ford vehicles, country cooking, and watching westerns. Most important above all to Billy was his love and faith in his Lord, Jesus Christ. He shared the word of God and served the Lord throughout his life. He was immensely loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
A visitation for Billy will be held on Saturday, March 15 at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington, Kentucky from 10am until 11am. Funeral service will begin at 11:00am. Burial will take place at Burlington Cemetery following the service.
