Beverly “Bo” Howard

Obituary
Condolences

Beverly “Bo” Howard, of Florence, Kentucky, was born on July 22, 1941, in Corbin, Kentucky, and departed this life on July 14, 2025, just days before her 84th birthday.

The daughter of Vernon and Hettie Cloyd, Beverly was raised in Corbin and grounded in her faith from a young age. She was a lifelong Baptist, attending Central Baptist Church in Corbin during her youth and later becoming a member of Burlington Baptist Church after moving to Northern Kentucky. Her deep faith was a guiding light throughout her life.

Beverly was widely known for her beautiful singing voice and her love of gospel music. She brought joy to many through her music, her laughter, and her unshakable positivity. Whether out on the golf course or curled up with a good book, she embraced life fully and shared that energy with those around her.

She is survived by her son, Kevin (Dawn) Barton; her sister, Phyllis (David) Chandler; niece and nephew, Kim (Rob) Mosser and Mark Chandler; great-nieces and nephews, Braylen (Julia) Chandler, Corbin (Makena) Mosser, and Cole Mosser; and great-great-nieces and nephews, Vivian and Winston Mosser, and Emmaus, Zion, and Saul Chandler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burney Howard, and her parents, Vernon and Hettie Cloyd.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Burlington location. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM.

Beverly will be laid to rest on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky.

Her light, laughter, and unwavering faith will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

Prayers for the family

I always enjoyed seeing Bo and loved hearing her tell a story with her “Corbin” accent. She always had a smile on her face and she adored my children. She will surely be missed. I am sending many prayers to her family, especially Ninny. They were so close and had a wonderful sister bond. Rest Easy in paradise Bo, until we meet again

Kevin & Dawn

Kevin and Dawn,
Brenda and I are very sorry to hear of your mother’s home going. Beverly was a very loving, caring, and sweetest person to be around. Cuz I have very fond memories of being around your mom, back when you and I was way younger.
We love you both,
