Betty Black

Betty Ann Black, 84, of Erlanger, died Tuesday at Saint Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, surrounded by her family. She was a founding member and a very active member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church. Betty was also a former member of the Homemakers Club of Boone County and the 4-H Club. She was a cosmetologist with Elsmere Drugs for 25 years and will be best remembered for her generosity and compassion toward others. She loved to travel, Hawaii being her favorite place. She also enjoyed entertaining family and friends with her wonderful down home cooking. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Fred C. Black; daughters Linda Roach of Crescent Spring and Pamela Flesch of Port Orange Florida; son Dennis Black of Independence; sister Helen Staggs of Burlington; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday 9:00am until time of Mass 11:00am at Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Erlanger. Burial in Saint Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
