Benjamin Franklin Sears, Jr. age 88, died January 6, 2013 at his residence. He was a retired union electrician. Benjamin was a proud WWII veteran of the Navy and was very active in many veterans organizations including being a charter member of VFW 6423 serving as Commander for 7 years, Quartermaster for 6 years and serving on several committees; American Legion Post 20; Seam Squirrel Military Order of the Cootie for several years, MOC Commander for Kentucky and a member of the SS Salt Lake City Alumni. He also was a Kentucky Colonel and a lifetime Free & Accepted Mason. Survivors include 2 daughters Barbara Jo (Randy) Burns and Patricia Ann (Jerry) Roberge; 2 sons Benjamin F. Sears, III and Kenneth (Joan) Sears; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and a dear lady friend of over 19 years, Jackie Benham .Visitation will be Monday 10am until time of service at 11am, at Linnemann Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Erlanger. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: ALS Association; Shriners Burns Institute; Scottish Rite of Kentucky; Masonic Home of Kentucky or the Presbytery of Cincinnati.
