Barbara Marie Barczak

Obituary
Condolences

Barbara Marie Barczak, 70, of Walton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in 1954 to Hugh and Nancy (nee Klaserner) Barth at St. Luke in Ft. Thomas, Barbara’s life was shaped by her deep faith, love of music, and devotion to her family.

Barbara graduated from Villa Madonna Academy in 1972 and went on to study music at Mount St. Joseph. Her passion for music was evident from a young age, beginning at just 11 years old when she played at Mass at Mary Queen of Heaven. This early experience sparked a lifelong devotion to both her faith and her music. She went on to become a beloved music director at several parishes within the Diocese of Covington, including St. Patrick, St. Joseph in Warsaw, and St. Matthew. In addition to her work at the parishes, Barbara dedicated her time to teaching music to elementary students at St. Henry and St. Cecilia, and giving private piano and guitar lessons to many throughout the years. Through her teaching, she touched the lives of countless children and adults alike.

Barbara’s greatest joy was her family. She had an unwavering devotion to her husband Hank, her son Jonathan (Sarah) Barczak, and her many siblings—Jim (Jalaine) Barth, Tim (Estella) Barth, Mark (the late Kathy) Barth,Kathy (Al) Proctor, and Reverend Michael Barth. She was also a proud and loving mother to her late son Nathaiel Lee Barczak. Barbara found joy in the simple moments spent with her family, whether it was attending Sunday Mass at her brother’s parish or embarking on camping trips across North America with her parents and sons. Those trips, filled with campfires, card games, and laughter, created lasting memories that her family will cherish forever.

Barbara’s personality shone through her deep love for life, her faith, and her family. She found joy in the little things, from Sunday drives in her beloved 2013 Hot Wheels Edition Chevrolet Camaro with Hank, to the countless hours spent playing music and creating memories around the campfire.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Nancy Barth, and her son Nathan Barczak. She is survived by her husband Hank Barczak, son Jonathan (Sarah) Barczak, brothers Jim (Jalaine) Barth, Tim (Estella) Barth, Mark (the late Kathy) Barth, Michael Barth, sister Kathy (Al) Proctor, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mary Queen of Heaven (1150 Donaldson Highway, Erlanger, KY), with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 7:00 PM. A private burial will be held on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the music ministry at Mary Queen of Heaven or a charity of your choice in Barbara’s memory.

Barbara’s legacy of love, faith, and music will continue to resonate through the lives of all who were blessed to know her. May she rest in peace

Barbara Marie Barczak

,

Sweet lady whose music lives on

Barb touched so many lives with her sweet spirit and gift of music. She was a great neighbor and taught piano to our daughter. She always inquired as to how others were doing when we would see her on a walk instead of complaining. May she rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus, reunited with her precious Nathan and other family members.
Hank and Jonathan, our prayers are lifted for you and all who love and will miss Barb.

With love and memories

Barbara, you meant the world to me. I will always love you. You will definitely be missed you and Hank has always been there for me just like family should be love you bunches Albert.

In prayers

Hank,
Just wanted to let you know that
you, Jonathan, and the repose of Barb’s soul are in my prayers. Been praying for you all after I heard about Barb’s condition and I am so sorry that this happened so quickly. May God comfort you and bring you the peace and healing you need in His ever loving embrace.
God bless!
Stan
