Tributes
On Thursday, July 15, 2021, A bright light went out of this world. Austin Anthony Griffin, 23, passed away suddenly in his Scottsdale, AZ home. He was known for his quick wit and ability to make others laugh, his fierce loyalty to his family and friends, and his big dreams for the future. He will be sorely missed and never forgotten. Austin was a 2016 graduate of Covington Catholic High School and a 2020 graduate of Northern Kentucky University with a degree in Finance. He was employed as an analyst for PNC Wealth Management. His passions were skydiving, weightlifting, cars, and family activities. Austin leaves behind his loving parents Tony and Cheri Griffin, sister Paige, and beloved dog, Holly, of Newport, KY. He is the paternal grandson of Joyce and the late Dennis Griffin, of Erlanger, KY, and maternal grandson of Carol and the late Joseph Travi, of Versailles, KY. He is the nephew of Traci Griffin Kautzman (Mike) of Edgewood, KY, Toby Griffin of Newport, KY, and Mike Travi (Mia) of Chicago, IL. Austin was more like a brother to his cousins, Mitchell, Marcus, and London Griffin. He is also survived by a large extended family. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger, KY. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, July 24, 2021, at St Barbara Catholic Church, 4042 Turkeyfoot Road, Erlanger, KY 41018 with a reception to immediately follow at the Sterling Event Center. Burial will be held privately at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY. As Austin had a zest for life and a love for color, cheerful attire is encouraged.
