Ardell Banks

So sorry to hear Ardell passed, deepest sympathies and prayers go out to you and your family! He was such an amazing guy! He had a huge impact on my life! Some of you won’t know me but Ardell was a huge part of my life and childhood. He dated my mom for years while I was a kid. He was the only father figure I ever had. I learned so much from Ardell, I learned the value of hard work, and how fun it is to be a Blue Collar guy. I have a lot of fun and cherished memories with Ardell. At one of his job sites while he was driving a bulldozer and building a pond for a friend, he taught me and my brother how to shoot. I shot my first gun with him and went hunting for the first time with him. The first vehicle I drove was on his land in Burlington, it was a 1988 or 1998 tiny baby blue S10 truck that had no turn signals or radio or anything. He showed me how to drive and let me drive that thing around. He showed me how to fish. He let me work in the stables with him, watched him get kicked by one of his mules and unfortunately broke a couple ribs. He taught me a lot and I feel so honored to have had spent such amazing quality time with him. He will be missed! He was a very hard working and fun guy. Thank you Ardell for teaching me so much and being a great father figure when I did not have one. I hope you rest well knowing you did great things for a lot of people and meant so much to so many. I miss watching westerns with you! Love you old man!
