Obituary
Condolences

Jerri Lynn Woods (née Welch), 58, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026, at UC Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, surrounded by her family and friends.

Jerri was a devoted wife and loving mother whose greatest joy in life was caring for and spending time with her family. She was eagerly looking forward to becoming a grandmother this June, a role she anticipated with immense joy and love.

She dedicated many years of her career to retail, where she was known for her warm personality, kind spirit, and strong work ethic. Most recently, she worked at Hobby Lobby in Florence, Kentucky, where she especially enjoyed the relationships she built with coworkers and customers alike. She also spent many years working at Macy’s and Dillard’s, where her warmth and friendly nature left a lasting impression on those around her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Welch.

Jerri is lovingly remembered by her husband, Steve Woods; her sons, Jake Woods and Matt (Katelyn) Woods; her mother, Elizabeth Welch; her brother, Donnie (Cindy) Welch; her twin sister, Jacki (Kelly) Scott; and many beloved members of the Woods & Welch families.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her for her hugs, caring heart, and strong spirit.

A Celebration of Life service will be held later this summer at Linnemann Event Center, on August 22, 2026. Memorial contributions may be made to Steinford Toy Foundation or Humane Society of Northern Kentucky.

So very sorry for your loss

I’m so very sorry for this deep loss your family has suffered. I worked with Jerri at Macy’s for many years and I’ll always remember the love and affection she had for her husband Steve and her kids. Hold her close to your hearts, especially with the little one that’s arriving soon.

Very sad to hear this…

Steve, I am so saddened to hear this. Guy passed away suddenly in March this year. This is a very tough journey to walk through and I will be lifting up you and your family in prayer.

With Sympathy

I worked with Jerri at Kohls about 3 years ago. What a kind,

I am praying that with the comfort of family and friends, memories of the time spent together and time will give you peace.

Quiet Kindness

Our boys played football together from Pee Wee through high school. We shared many afternoons and evenings together. Rose and I will remember Jerri as a very kind person. Our love to Steve, Jake, Matt and the entire family. You are in our prayers.
